Bay Area Community Health Advisory Council (BACHAC)

BACHAC’s vision is to eliminate health disparities through innovative models of health education and services across the generations and diverse communities. With purpose and persistence, they have become a center for excellence. BACHAC has been a longtime partner with St. James in meeting the health needs of the community.

The San Mateo Branch promotes justice and fairness and, concurrently, seeks social, political, educational and economic rights for all.

St. James Community Development Corporation

The St, James Community Development Corporation operates with the core principle of providing quality service to the community, addressing social, health, quality of life, housing and economic development issues that plague our community.

San Mateo-Foster City School District

We collaborate with the school district in multiple ways to enhance the lives and academic progress of students in the community.

 San Mateo County

Partnership with the county includes offering neighborhood COVID testing, Voter Education and Census information and registration.

Silicon Valley Community Foundation

SVCF supports the work of the church with regard to funding programs that benefit the betterment of the community.

City of San Mateo

Partnership with the city includes providing funding for various programs sponsored by the church to benefit the community.

 Peninsula Clergy Cohort

Leadership in the cohort of 40 interfaith clergy provides a vehicle for advocacy of social justice and political action issues that affect the County of San Mateo.

Faith in Action Bay Area

We partner with this national organizing network that works to dismantle systems of injustice that are fueled by hatred and racism by organizing those closest to the pain

COVID-19 RESPONSE

Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been and continues to be:

  • Keeping the congregation safe by social distancing while staying spiritually connected.
  • Serving the community by offering weekly Covid-19 testing in partnership with San Mateo
  • County Health Dept, Bay Area Community Health Advisory Council, and the College of San
  • Mateo Nursing Program.
  • Offering COVID-19 vaccination clinics in partnership with Bay Area Community Health Advisory
  • Council and Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital.
